If, as expected, the one-year deal is $1.5M, it would be fitting. That would make Lundqvist “whole” on $4.5M salary he was scheduled to get for 20-21. $3M of it would be in his buyout from the Rangers (paid out over two years) but $1.5M would top him back up to $4.5M total.

3. Une rumeur renvoie Sami Vatanen à Anaheim.
Have heard similar, Anaheim will revisit things with Vatanen (Muzz with intel!). Also expecting interest from Boston, Calgary, Toronto among others https://t.co/s3ISKhBdx3

Mark Lazerus: “Dominik Kubalik is expected to re-sign with the Chicago #Blackhawks for three-years at around $3.75M to $3.9M AAV. A deal is close … Negotiation with Dylan Strome is ongoing, but the expectation is that he’ll sign for probably two-years at around $2.5M AAV.”

Mike Hoffman is set to become a free agent tomorrow at noon. Should the #FlaPanthers make a run to try and keep his heavy shot? He has led the Panthers in goals the past two seasons. https://t.co/UyV862KFvw

#FlaPanthers have been trying to move D Anton Stralman and his $5.5 M cap hit. #Sabres are interested.
Either way, expect Bill Zito to go hard after Torey Krug if and when he hits market.@BOSHockeyNow @flahockeynow

7. Torey Krug Kevan Miller pourrait finalement décider de rester à Boston.
Hearing the Bruins will bring back D and potential UFA Kevan Miller. #NHLBruins #NHLFreeAgency @BOSHockeyNow

Things can change quickly but looks like Derick Brassard and Matt Martin will test the UFA waters.
Last time Martin got to UFA he got a 4-year deal worth $2.5-million per — from Leafs GM Lou Lamoriello in 2016. Fully expect him to circle back to #Isles before committing.

CGY and pending UFA D T.J. Brodie, a left shot who plays the right side, have had more contract talks in the last hour but weren’t able to get a deal done. Unless things change before noon, expect Brodie to go market.
— Bob McKenzie (@TSNBobMcKenzie) October 9, 2020
Flames circled back to Cam Talbot's camp late last night but all signs indicate the goalie heading to the UFA market. I wonder about Dallas as a potential fit for Talbot. Also my understanding is the Flames have interest in Anton Khubodin among other UFA netminders…

"Edmonton is going to take an unbelievably hard run here and maybe offer a max-term deal to Jakob Markstron" – @TSNBobMcKenzie

Prolongation
Mattias Janmark will be a popular guy. As I mentioned earlier, Colorado, Toronto, Montreal and Nashville have their sights on him. Can add the NY Rangers too, they have interest in pursuing him.
— David Pagnotta (@TheFourthPeriod) October 9, 2020
– Kevin Shattenkirk quittera bel et bien Tampa Bay.
The #GoBolts made an offer late last night to keep pending UFA D Kevin Shattenkirk. Sounds like he will be heading to market, but will continue to mull over a return as he considers his suitors after 12 noon.
